Why Liposomal DHEA?

DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is an androgen (male sex hormone). DHEA is two steps down from pregnenolone in the steroid synthesis pathway. Pregnenolone is first converted to 17-OH Pregnenolone and then to DHEA. DHEA may also be synthesized in the brain. It is the most common adrenal steroid hormone in the body, and it is a precursor for both testosterone and estrogen.
